چکیده
Introduction: The term “Lisfranc injury” commonly describes injuries which occur at the bases of five metatarsals, their articulations with distal four tarsal bones, and Lisfranc ligament. injury is rare accounts for 0.2% all fractures up to 20% being missed in acute setting. treatment these has been subject much debate over years. Primary arthrodesis increased as a option recent literature. Case Report: A 25-year-old female Type 1 diabetes mellitus presented two-week history swollen right foot after falling while descending flight stairs. Radiographic imaging revealed partial incongruity her Lis franc joint comminuted fracture second tarsometatarsal joint. She underwent primary Franc no functional impairment or midfoot deformity progression one year follow up.Conclusion: This construct shown better withstand abnormal biomechanical forces are placed on during ambulation patients peripheral neuropathy such diabetics. case highlights benefits this modality young, diabetic patient.

To fuse or not to fuse: what is your purpose?
Since the dawn of time, or at least the dawn of recombinant DNA technology (which for many of today's scientists is the same thing), investigators have been cloning and expressing heterologous proteins in a variety of different cells for a variety of different reasons. These range from cell biological studies looking at protein-protein interactions, post-translational modifications, and regulat...
متن کاملTo FUSE or Not to FUSE: Performance of User-Space File Systems
Traditionally, file systems were implemented as part of OS kernels. However, as complexity of file systems grew, many new file systems began being developed in user space. Nowadays, user-space file systems are often used to prototype and evaluate new approaches to file system design. Low performance is considered the main disadvantage of user-space file systems but the extent of this problem ha...
متن کاملTo fuse or not to fuse: how do checkpoint and DNA repair proteins maintain telomeres?
DNA damage checkpoint and DNA repair mechanisms play critical roles in the stable maintenance of genetic information. Various forms of DNA damage that arise inside cells due to common errors in normal cellular processes, such as DNA replication, or due to exposure to various DNA damaging agents, must be quickly detected and repaired by checkpoint signaling and repair factors. Telomeres, the nat...
متن کاملThe Cambrian "explosion": slow-fuse or megatonnage?
Clearly, the fossil record from the Cambrian period is an invaluable tool for deciphering animal evolution. Less clear, however, is how to integrate the paleontological information with molecular phylogeny and developmental biology data. Equally challenging is answering why the Cambrian period provided such a rich interval for the redeployment of genes that led to more complex body plans.
متن کاملLearning to Fuse Disparate Sentences
The work presented here is based on a paper under submission with Micha Elsner. This thesis presents a system for fusing sentences which are drawn from the same souce document but differ significantly in content. The system described here is supervised, trained from real world examples of sentences fused by professional journalists in the process of editing news articles. The system is similar ...
